People want what they want, why argue? Is it not easier to just give them what it is they want?
I have often said, 'now I have heard everything.' Then something new and more outrageous over-takes it.
Recently someone sent me a story of a man allegedly killed trying to have sex with a 12-foot alligator. My initial reaction, well now that just cannot be true, turns out it was not. Are you ready for this? A man was however arrested for sexually abusing his pet peacock.
That, for me, moves the outrageous bar. So now have we finally heard everything?
No, not yet. Here is an example of something that really should test this.
You have heard of the words transnational and transgender, have you ever heard the word transabled? Transabled people are those that by choice become disabled. They self-inflict blindness, cut off their limbs, and crush their arms and legs.
Men and women doing this claim they feel trapped in their able bodies. They are victims of discrimination. Advancing an argument their constitutional rights are being violated.
There was a time I would have said there is no way laws would follow to support this.
The same was true of other things that are now the law.
Do you remember the story of Sweet Cakes in Oregon? It was a small family bakery forced to close their doors; the story has faded from the headlines. The state ordered the owners to pay $135,000 to a same sex couple for refusing to bake a wedding cake.
It was not that the cake could not be obtained from a number of other bakeries, because it could have.
This puts a whole new meaning to the customer is always right.
If someone once would have told me people could jump up and down on police cars, burn, destroy, and loot businesses, and law enforcement would be told by officials to give them space to do so I would have told them they were out of their mind.
Well, wrong again. That is exactly what they did in April of 2015 in Baltimore.
After the enormity of the stupidity settled in for having done so, damage control set in. The denials for having said this were plentiful. It happened, and is documented with video.
There are endless examples of these kinds of things. Easy ones are open borders and sanctuary cites. Here is one you may not have heard about yet.
Kiwi weightlifter Laurel Hubbard has dominated her first major competition, taking out the Australian International in Melbourne on a night she made history. Hubbard, 39, won the women's over 90kg division at the Melbourne event, setting four unofficial national records in the process. Hubbard lifted a combined total of 268kg - 19kg, besting the silver medalist.
A tremendous accomplishment within women's sport, or is it? Laurel was born a son to his parents and once competed as Gavin Hubbard.
There are those without delay screaming misogyny and demonstrating for distasteful and crude comments made by those dastardly men; war on women, discrimination! Look as I did, I could not find the display of one protest sign on this.
This weight lifting competition, for the most part, has gone unnoticed in the United States. In general women's power-lifting has a smaller following than more popular sports.
Laurel Hubbard has been named to New Zealand's Olympic Team.
So who cares, what is the big picture?
If this is not stopped, it is the beginning of the end for women's sports. Mark my words on this.
The true deceit, it is being advanced in the interest of gender equality. An argument of separate is not equal, eviscerated.
The real purpose of college sports is making money. Those that win make the most money. Can you see the end of scholarships for your women now?
Talk about a war on women, and discrimination!
This thinking brings to mind a television series that ran from 1959 - 1964, The Twilight Zone.
It spoke to a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge.
That was the intro to each episode
Let's just give everyone what they want, who cares? It is all okay. Alligators and peacocks for anyone that wants them. It is all baked in the cake now.
