"What is the meaning of is?
By: Steve Trubilla
What is the meaning of “is”; remember that? Having watched the contest to win, or better stated to buy votes I have to wonder if people really understand the end game. It is about money, your money and how to separate you from it.
Hundreds of millions are spent to convince/sell us to vote and declare we are either Democrat or Republican. Most of it is provided by those that would rather not be identified. By doing this, the faceless “they” can cut up the pie. Fit everyone in to a neat little box and then herd them along their merry way. The problem is people, unlike the sheep they would like us to be, do not herd very well.
Those that do not accept their box require further sorting. It is not enough to be a good little Republican. It is an all or nothing kind of thing. For example, if you are fundamentally a Libertarian, there is no room at the inn for you. Oh they will take you, but hold their noses doing so. If you are a Democrat and a “pro-lifer”, well it’s ok, as long as you sit in the back of the room and be quiet about it.
I offer, when you objectively look at it there is very little difference between the Parties today. They both want to define and tell you what to think. By pitting one group against the other they both cash in.
The reality is in order to have any voice you have to pick one Party or the other. Before you really define yourself turn off the TV, take the time to read what the true meaning of “is”, is. They say birds of a feather flock together. It could be you think you are soaring with eagles and they are really pigeons.
We all basically want the same things. Neither Party seems to be able to, or want to, move the ball. The question is why? Could it be they do not care where the ball is so long as we just let them play the game?
